Fridge Temperature Log Book keeps your temperature log entirely on your own device. There is no account and no sign-in. The only data that ever leaves your device is anonymous purchase information used to process and restore the one-time in-app purchase (see “In-app purchases” below).
The app stores, locally on your device only:
This data is stored in a local database inside the app’s own storage on your device. Your temperature log entries, staff names, and business details are never sent to us, to the app developer, or to any third party. Purchase validation is the one exception, described under “In-app purchases” below.
If you use the app’s Export feature, you choose to generate a PDF file and share it yourself (for example, by saving it to Files, printing it, or sending it via Mail/AirDrop). That sharing is initiated by you, through Apple’s standard share sheet, and goes only to the destination you pick. The app itself does not upload or transmit this file anywhere.
The app’s data is included in your device’s normal backup mechanisms (e.g., iCloud device backup, Finder/iTunes backup), the same as any other app’s data on your device. It is not separately browsable through the Files app — this is intentional, so your compliance records aren’t directly editable outside the app. We do not operate any separate backup service.
The one-time “PDF export unlock” purchase is processed by Apple through standard In-App Purchase. We do not receive or store your payment information — Apple handles that in accordance with its own privacy policy.
To validate the purchase and let you restore it after reinstalling the app or switching devices, the app uses RevenueCat, a third-party purchase-management service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated app user ID, your purchase receipt, and basic device information (such as device model and app version). This data is not linked to your identity — the app never sends your name, email, temperature log entries, staff names, or business details to RevenueCat or anyone else. If you turn on the optional daily reminder, the app schedules a local notification directly with your device’s operating system — no server, push service, or third party is involved, and no data leaves your device to make this work. The reminder’s time is stored locally the same way your other settings are. You can turn reminders off at any time in the app, or disable notifications for the app entirely in your device’s system settings.
This app does not include analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs as of this version. The only third-party service the app communicates with is RevenueCat, solely for the in-app purchase handling described above.
This app is intended for business use by food-service staff and does not knowingly collect data from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new “Last updated” date.
